Medium vibration of 4 to 6 times per revolution is experienced on a helicopter. The primary control method is

  • inspect loose fixtures and fittings
  • design of engine and gearbox supports
  • inspect main rotor head and main drive shaft

I selected -Design of engine and gearbox supports Medium and High frequency Vibrations " Depending on the helicopter the source may be engine and transmission cooling fan and accessories such as air conditioner compressors, or driveline components. Any ideas?

Jordi: it is design and geabox supports indeed because Engine and gearbox rotate faster than the rotor.

There are two same questions and two different answers. In this case the correct answer is an alert of the altitude of the aircraft is made. Other case correct answer is a decision of whether to land is made. So what is the right answer then?

Jordi: I believe that a decision whether to land is made is correct.
