Explanation
An MLS azimuth station provides guidance over a wide sector, with maximum proportional azimuth coverage extending to about plus or minus 60 degrees either side of the runway centreline. Up to +/-60 degrees but usually it is +/-40 degrees. This is an advantage of MLS over ILS.
