Licence Categories (66.A.5)

A Line maintenance mechanic — minor scheduled line maintenance and simple defect rectification (A1/A2 aeroplanes, A3/A4 helicopters)
B1 Maintenance technician — aircraft structure, powerplant, mechanical and electrical systems (B1.1/B1.2 aeroplanes, B1.3/B1.4 helicopters)
B2 Avionics maintenance technician — avionics and electrical systems, all aircraft types
B2L Avionics maintenance technician with limitations — avionics systems by endorsed system rating, non-Group 1 aircraft
B3 Maintenance technician — non-pressurised piston-engine aeroplanes of 2 000 kg MTOM and below
