The UK kept the Module 10 syllabus as it stood on 31 December 2020 and changed only the bodies it names. EASA replaced its own Module 10 with Regulation (EU) 2023/989, applicable from 12 June 2024. The UK has not adopted that change.
Proposed change
From 19 January to 13 April 2026 the CAA consulted on updating UK Part-66 (Rulemaking Task 0201). The proposal would replace this syllabus with a ten-part Module 10 like the EASA one and keep the essay. The consultation document gives proposed dates: a statutory instrument made in 2027 and most of it in force in 2029. This is a proposal, not law. Until an instrument is made, the syllabus on this page is the one in force.

The CAA's own consolidated text of the regulation with its acceptable means of compliance and guidance material (September 2026 edition) was checked on 30 September 2026: it carries none for Appendix I or Appendix II of Part-66, so nothing is added to this list.
