If one FMS fails in a duel system
- system operation will not be affected
- FMS CDU on fail side goes blank
- FMS display transfers automatically from serviceable computer
Explanation from PART66Online
In a dual FMS installation each side normally drives its own control display unit, so if one computer fails its associated CDU goes blank. Operation is affected on that side, and the display does not automatically transfer; the crew must select the surviving computer onto the affected CDU.

Was trying to find the correct answer to it and i would pick the offered one, because dual mode is the normal mode of the system. In DUAL mode the two FMCs communicate with each other(crosstalk).When crosstalk or re-synchronization is attempted and fails, each FMC will revert to a completely INDEPENDENT mode of operation without crosstalk. So, if 1 FMS fails, it is not going to take any info from the other FMS until synchronization condition are met.

no dont be confused,it talks about the FMS as a system and thus it goes blank.If it said like in an other question 'FMS CDU" and not FMS only then yes it would be ok with the remaining one.
