A GNS satellite system transmis
- vertically polarise
- horizontally polarise
- right hand circular
Explanation
GNSS satellites transmit using right-hand circular polarisation so that reception is largely independent of the receiver antenna's orientation and is less affected by ionospheric Faraday rotation than a fixed linear polarisation would be. This is why aircraft GNSS antennas are designed for right-hand circular polarisation.
