i thought the answer to this question was type of seal material, does anyone know why its heat generated in operation as the type of fluid may break the seal down.

aerorodder1: They don't design struts to use certain o-rings, they design it for strength and to find the appropriate fluids and corresponding compressibility/heat-factors. The compressibility of a fluid determines it heat factor...you could use water in a shock-strut but it wouldn't compress as much as hydraulic fluids do and wouldn't generate as much heat.

How are passenger reading lights normally tested?

  • By using a READ LIGHT TEST switch on the cabin attendant panel.
  • Each one is switched on individually at passenger panel.
  • By using a READ LIGHT TEST switch at any passenger panel.

To ensure that a wing stalls at the root first, stall wedges are

  • installed on the wing leading edge at the wing tip.
  • installed on the wing leading edge at the wing root.
  • installed at the wing trailing edge at the wing root.

PART66Online: Hope my project helps you. :) Project is very young and I'm everyday receiving some reports. Some of them are correct but some are because of lack of student's training.
