  • landing gear down line.
  • return line from the landing gear selector.

Why? i though it will be positioned in the lowering line to damping landing gear extention due to aerodynamics loads.

Jordi: the way i thought about is is this :To retract the wheels it should be at the upper line of the landing gear system. At least this is how i interpret it.Because it says "retraction" your asnwer whould be if it said extension of the landing gear.

If angle of attack is increased beyond th e critical angle of attack, the lift coefficient ... and the stagnation point moves...

Is this a typo? Shouldn't this be seperation point? Stagnation point is infront of the leading edge, it can only move up and down not forward and back.

samy: when it moves up and down it moves slightly fwd or aft a little bit

What is the main purpose of a frise aileron?

Not correct answer. avstop.com/ac/flighttrainghandbook/di...: The design of the aileron surface itself has also been improved by the "Frise type" aileron. With this type of aileron, when pressure on the control stick or wheel is applied to one side, raising one of the ailerons, the leading edge of that aileron (which has an offset hinge) projects down into the airflow and creates drag. This helps equalize the drag created by the lowered aileron on the opposite wing and thus reduces adverse yaw (Fig. 4-5).

Jordi: Guys in this particular module i managed to oass it only with the book notes.I found only 20-30 questions from the site.

Compared with the flap down configuration the maximum angle of attack for the flaps up configuration is

Sokeros: Because your wing creates more lift with the flaps down, you don't need to as much angle-of-attack to balance the four forces of flight. And because you can fly at a lower angle-of-attack with flaps extended, your stall speed will be lower as well.

Before checking the SG of a battery recently removed from an aircraft

  • take the temperature of the electrolyte.
  • carry out a capacity test.
  • allow to stabilise for one hour.

I have had this question elsewhere and the answer was to let it stand for an hour!?

Jordi: the correct answer should be to allow the liquid to stabilize itself.At least this is what my textbook says from my academy.I think this answer is wrong .

why?

JD2016: Actually Chesters1234 you can produce oxygen by pressurising air. It's part of the Liquefaction process used to produce liquid oxygen. Air is compressed (pressurised) to 60Bar and cooled before being allowed to expand which causes it to turn to liquid air before being fractioanted into liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen. :)

Why isn't VOR ?

JD2016: It's a bad question. A radial is the magnetic bearing outbound from a VOR. So the 3rd answer is correct in so far as it is FROM but a "beacon" could be an NDB (non directional beacon) and it is VORs (the 2nd answer) that are relevant. The 150 VOR radial is QDR 150 - 150 degrees from that VOR - which is QDM 330 - i.e. you would have to fly a heading (assuming no wind) of 330 to fly to that VOR.
