112.1 MHz falls in the VHF navigation band of 108-118 MHz. Above 112.0 MHz this band is allocated to VOR stations, so 112.1 MHz is a VOR frequency. ILS localiser frequencies use the odd-decimal channels in the lower part of the band, and UHF is far higher.
