Laser gyros have
- no rotating parts.
- moving parts.
- a spinning rotor.
Explanation
A laser (ring laser) gyro detects rotation optically from counter-propagating laser beams and contains no spinning rotor or other moving mechanical parts. This solid-state construction is one of its main advantages, eliminating wear and bearing friction associated with conventional spinning-mass gyros.
harbhla asking:
may be it is wrong ,since nothing moves except beam of light which is weightless

Laser gyros have moving parts, it is correct. Please check this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inertial_navigation_system#Laser_gyros
Lasers gyros have piezo-electric dither motor.
