A FADEC system consists of
- H.M.U, A.D.C and sensors.
- E.E.C, A.D.C and sensors.
- H.M.U, sensors and an E.E.C.
Explanation
A FADEC is built from the engine sensors that gather operating data, an EEC that processes that data and computes the schedules, and a hydromechanical unit that meters the fuel under the EEC's command. The air data computer is an external aircraft system feeding the FADEC, not a component of the FADEC itself.
ryandods asking:
is the answer not EEC and ADC as i though the FADEC did not have HMU

FADEC is only a name of system where Electronic Control Unit obtains parameters from many sensors and give commands to some units, one of them is HMU. Please check this schematic: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_7EMmyqZZDTA/TP0cIol_CBI/AAAAAAAAAQs/VpfhDYNc7bM/s1600/FADEC.JPG
