What unit in a tachometer system sends information to the indicator?

  • The two phase AC generator.
  • The three phase AC generator.
  • The synchronous motor.

Explanation from PART66Online

A synchronous tachometer system uses a small three-phase AC generator driven by the engine; its three-phase output sets the speed of the synchronous motor in the indicator. The generator, not the indicator motor, is the unit that sends the speed information.

Hey.

You wrong. The three phase AC generator sends information to the indicator.
Please refer to Jeppesen Aircraft Gas Turbine Powerplants page 12-13.
