The average value of 100 volts peak AC is

  • 70.7 volts.
  • 141. 4 volts.
  • 63.7 volts.

Explanation

The average value over a half-cycle of a sine wave is 0.637 of the peak, so 0.637 * 100 = 63.7 V. The 70.7 V figure is the RMS value (0.707*peak) and 141.4 V is sqrt 2*peak, so neither represents the average.
