Two 12V 40 amp hour batteries connected in parallel will produce
- 24V 80 ah.
- 12V 80 ah.
- 24V 40 ah.
Explanation
Connecting batteries in parallel keeps the voltage the same but adds their capacities, since each contributes current to a common load. Two 12 V 40 Ah batteries therefore give 12 V at 80 Ah. Voltage only increases when units are placed in series.
