Frequently asked questions

How many modules does a Category A licence need?
A Category A licence requires 11 or 12 modules depending on sub-category. Module 4 (Electronics Fundamentals) does NOT apply to plain Category A, which is the main difference from the equivalent B1 sub-category.
Why does Module 4 not apply to Category A?
Category A engineers do not certify avionics work, so the electronics syllabus (Module 4) is not required. It is required for all four B1 sub-categories.
