What is the value of a monolithic capacitor with 103 on it?

  • 1000pf.
  • 10,000pf.
  • 100,000pf.

Explanation from PART66Online

On a marked capacitor the first two digits are significant figures and the third is the number of zeros (the picofarad multiplier). So "103" means 10 followed by three zeros = 10,000 pF (equivalent to 10 nF or 0.01 microF). It is read in picofarads, the same convention as the colour code.

10^3 =1000pf correct me if am wrong

the third number is the number of zeros you have to put after, i.e 473=47.000

it basically means 10^3 .if it was 104 it would be 10^4 etc.
