What is the power supply to cabin flow tubes?

  • 115v ac
  • 200v ac
  • High voltage stepped up

Explanation from PART66Online

Cabin smoke-detection flow tubes of the ionisation type need a high voltage to ionise the sampled air, so the supply is stepped up to the required high voltage rather than fed directly at the standard aircraft bus voltage. Neither 115 V nor 200 V AC alone would provide the potential needed for the ionising chamber to function.
