Millibar is used to express what kind of pressure?

  • Pitot pressure.
  • Ambient pressure.

The millibar (hectopascal) is the unit used for atmospheric/ambient pressure, such as the altimeter subscale setting. Pitot pressure is a dynamic quantity normally handled differently, so ambient pressure is what the millibar scale expresses.
