Microballoon filler is restricted to small, lightly loaded repairs; the accepted maximum repair dimension is around 10 mm, beyond which a proper structural plug or core insert is required. Larger 20-30 mm holes exceed the strength capability of a filled repair, so 10 mm is the limit.
