If aluminium alloy is not quenched within the minimum time allowed after heat treatment is it will be

  • subject to corrosion.
  • malleable.
  • brittle.

i agree , subject to intergranular corrosion. to make brittle would be to quench to fast.

Yes i was reading on a book and its said must be quenched less than 10 second to avoid corrosion and aluminium become very soft until finally aged and hard. Cimw.
