If aluminium alloy is not quenched within the minimum time allowed after heat treatment is it will be
- subject to corrosion.
- malleable.
- brittle.
diaandrita asking:
this question makes me confused
if Al alloy not quenched are more prone to intergranular corrosion aren't they? Please give me explanation

i agree , subject to intergranular corrosion. to make brittle would be to quench to fast.

Yes i was reading on a book and its said must be quenched less than 10 second to avoid corrosion and aluminium become very soft until finally aged and hard. Cimw.
