Cable stops are manufactured from
- stainless steel.
- copper.
- magnesium alloy.
Explanation
Cable end stops (swaged ferrules) are made of a soft, malleable metal such as copper so they deform tightly around the cable when swaged without cutting the wires. A hard material like stainless steel or a brittle magnesium alloy would not grip reliably or could damage the cable.
