To fit a new front cone to a prop shaft firstly

  • etch the propeller serial number to the rear face.
  • cut in half with a hacksaw and etch a unique serial number to both halves.
  • coat in Engineers blue to ensure seating in the propeller front boss.

this is wrong answer pls check CAIP for correct ans. option 3 is correct which is coat in Engineers blue to ensure seating in the propeller front boss.

Jordi: so is the B answer right?If i understood correctly,we use engineers blue on the rear and the method of splitting on the front?

  • at low air temperature.
  • at high air temperature.
  • on the ground.

Why would de-icing be used in high air temperature?

Jordi: this question is not confused at all Dimky explains it.In my study notes from my acedamy it states that "Fast cycles are used on 10 celsius and slow cycles are used on low temperatures -6-10 Celsius".This is very logical because if you think about it de-icing in low temperatures must be slow and thorough instead of fast because if it was fast deicing woudlnt be effective at all!

I was a bit unsure with this question, The props are synchronised by matching the engine RPM? but ultimatley this is to match the prop RPM. would you guys agree with this answer?

aerorodder1: Obrien99 is correct the engine rpm is reduced or advanced to match the slave engine. On the MD-80 the switch is called "engine sync". If you didn't sync up,the passengers toward the rear of the plain right next to the engines would go crazy on a long flight. When we were kids, we would hum in front of a spinning fan mouths open,and move our noisy mouths until we could make these strange harmonies until would we found the one that would sync up perfectly. But in the interim there would be that specific warbling sound...well select an engine and sync and away goes the harmonics and vibrations. Don't care about props, sorry but if you want to advance in your carrer you'll have to work on turbojet or turbofan high bypass ratio engines.Small A/C has its place but the money is in the jets not props!
