During flap down selection in a continuous straight and level flight at constant IAS and weight

  • the lift coefficient and the drag coefficient increase.
  • the stall speed increases.
  • the centre of pressure moves aft, lift coefficient and the drag coefficient increase.

Explanation from PART66Online

Lowering trailing-edge flaps increases camber at the rear, so the centre of pressure moves aft and both the lift coefficient and the drag coefficient rise at a given angle of attack. Because CLmax is higher, the stall speed falls rather than rises, which is why the stall-speed-increases option is wrong.
