As a subsonic aircraft speeds up it needs a smaller angle of attack to maintain the same lift. On a cambered aerofoil, reducing the angle of attack causes the centre of pressure to move rearward along the chord. So accelerating shifts the centre of pressure aft, the opposite of what happens when the aircraft slows down.

Assuming that the aircraft is to remain at constant altitude, it must reduce its angle of attack as it speeds-up. This alone
will move the CofP rearwards, in accordance with the sub-sonic angle of attack change theory.
