Power lost in the lead depends on its current and resistance, not the 24 V supply: P = I squared x R = 80 squared x 0.5 = 6400 x 0.5 = 3200 W = 3.2 kW. The 24 V value is a distractor, since the relevant voltage is the small drop across the lead itself.

Hi, P=R*I^2 -----> 80*80*0.5 = 6400/2 = 3.2 kW
