Module 9. Human factors

Who is most likely to deviate from standard procedure?

  • Young, inexperienced man.
  • Over confident, young man.
  • Fatigued, experienced man.

Explanation

Overconfidence is a key driver of deviating from standard procedures, as it leads someone to believe rules can be skipped without consequence. A young, overconfident worker is most prone to this. An inexperienced person is more likely to follow procedures closely, and fatigue causes errors rather than deliberate procedural deviation.

young, inexperienced man will be very careful because he still not sure how to do his job correctly.
Old man, even in case he is tired will do his job carefully because of high experience.
Over confident, young man most likely will deviate from standard procedure because he think what he is master of his job and definitely will do mistake intentionally or not.
