How would you test a hydraulic hose?
- Pressure test 2.0 * working pressure.
- Pressure test 1.5 * working pressure.
- Pressure test 1.0 * working pressure.
Explanation from PART66Online
A flexible hydraulic hose is proof tested to twice its normal working pressure to confirm integrity before service. Testing only at working pressure would not prove a safety margin, so the 2.0 times figure is the accepted proof-test value.
