In fibre optics. The fibre cable has a refractive index of 1.5, what is its speed?
- 300 meters/microsecond.
- 400 meters/microsecond.
- 200 meters/microsecond.
Explanation from PART66Online
Speed in a medium is the speed of light divided by the refractive index, v = c/n. With c = 300 m/us and n = 1.5, v = 300/1.5 = 200 metres per microsecond, so the signal travels slower than in free space.

Per trovare la velocità nel mezzo ti basterà fare (v luce nel vuoto / indice di rifrazione)
