Module 2. Physics

Select the correct statement from the following.

  • Matter can only exist in one of four states.
  • Matter can exist in only two basic states.
  • Matter can only exist in one of three states.

Explanation

Matter exists in four recognised states: solid, liquid, gas and plasma. The familiar three states are extended by plasma, an ionised gas, making four the most complete statement among the options.

Jordi asking:

in another question we had 3 states now we have 4?The fourth is plasma but why?
