Conductive deafness can be caused by damage to the

  • ossicle.

Conductive deafness arises when sound cannot be transmitted efficiently through the outer or middle ear, for example when the ossicles, the tiny middle-ear bones, are damaged. The cochlea and its nerve belong to the inner ear, where damage instead causes sensorineural deafness. Distinguishing the two helps identify whether mechanical conduction or nerve function is impaired.

conductive hearing loss effects the elements(eardrum and ossicles) in the middle ear. the cochlea is located in the inner ear.
