Module 2. Physics

Ignoring friction, if you let an object slide down a slope, at the bottom

  • the potential energy is equal to the kinetic energy.
  • the potential energy is more than the kinetic energy.
  • the kinetic energy is more than the potential energy.

Explanation

Starting from rest at the top, the object has maximum potential energy and zero kinetic energy. Ignoring friction, by the bottom nearly all that potential energy has converted to kinetic energy, so kinetic energy is greater than the remaining potential energy.

Giovane asking:

CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW?
