log 100/2 =
- 1
- log 98
- log 200
Explanation
Here log 100 is evaluated first to give 2, then divided by 2, so the result is 2 / 2 = 1. The 2 is a divisor outside the logarithm, so it does not become log 50 or any single-log expression of 98 or 200.

how do you work this out?

questions like this should be clearly set because there is a difference between : log 100/2 and (log 100)/2
log 100/2 = log 100 - log 2 = 2 - 0.3010 = 1.699
and
log (log 100)/2 = 2/2 = 1
log 100/2 = log 100 - log 2 = 2 - 0.3010 = 1.699
and
log (log 100)/2 = 2/2 = 1
