As altitude increases the air density falls, so for a given indicated airspeed the true airspeed and required angle of attack rise to maintain lift, strengthening the tip vortices. This increases induced drag, whereas parasite-type drags (parasite, interference) actually fall with reducing density at a given true airspeed.

here the question is: which of the following types of drag increases as the aircraft GAINS altitude?
that means the a/c is ascending with high AoA! induced drag depends upon AoA!
