Module 1. Mathematics

24/0 (twenty four divided by nothing) is

  • infinity.
  • nothing.
  • 24.

Explanation

Dividing a fixed number by ever-smaller values gives ever-larger results, so as the divisor approaches zero the quotient grows without bound, conventionally expressed as infinity. The answer is never the original number 24 or nothing.

craig toogood asking:

surely 24 divide this by nothing you still have 24 whole as a figure rather than infinity???

nothing "0" doesn't mean unity "1"

I hope u get it.
Further more try calculating (24/0) in a calculator.

this is nonsense. Never in my life have I see such answer, division by 0 is impossible so infinity is a strange answer.

it's like in limits, number/ zero gives infinite, number/infinite gives zero
