An EPR system reads slightly over 1, this would mean
- the transmitter datum point has moved and needs replacing
- no action required this is normal
- the indicator needs re-calibrating back to 1
Explanation from PART66Online
Engine pressure ratio is exhaust pressure divided by inlet pressure, so a running engine always reads slightly above 1.0 because the engine raises pressure. A value just over 1 is therefore the expected indication and requires no action; it does not indicate a shifted datum or a need to recalibrate the indicator to 1.
