Aspect ratio is given by the formula:

  • Mean Chord / Span.
  • Span^2 / Area.
  • Span^2 / Mean Chord.

Explanation from PART66Online

Aspect ratio equals span divided by mean chord, and since area equals span times mean chord, this is equivalent to span squared divided by area. Both forms give the same value; mean chord divided by span is the inverse, so that option is incorrect.
