  • check humidity indicator after 12 hours.
  • check humidity indicator after 24 hours.
  • check humidity indicator after 48 hours.

After sealing an engine in a marine vapour-proof (MVP) envelope the humidity indicator is allowed to settle and is checked after about 24 hours to confirm the desiccant has dried the trapped air to a safe level before the longer periodic checks begin.

M.V.P stands for moisture vapour protection. To minize the moisture contant while the engine is in storage
