Helicopter fibreglass panels are protected against lightning strikes, partially by

  • non-conductive paint.
  • bonding.
  • conductive paint.

Explanation from PART66Online

Fibreglass is non-conductive, so to give it some lightning protection it is finished with a conductive paint (or embedded mesh) that lets strike current flow over the surface to bonded structure rather than puncturing the laminate. Non-conductive paint would offer no path, so it cannot provide this protection.

Between conductive paint and bonding, I would go for bonding as the better answer, since I think conductive paint is more suited for preventing potential difference, while bonding is for preventing potential difference as well as able to conduct lightning strikes better than conductive paint
