In a flight director, how are small deviations corrected?

  • Pilot input.
  • Servo motor.
  • Gyro torque.

Explanation

A flight director only computes and displays steering commands; it does not move the controls itself, so small deviations are corrected by the pilot manually following the director bars. A servo motor would actually fly the aircraft, which is the function of the autopilot, not the flight director.
