On an EHSI in weather radar mode, a severe storm would be shown as

  • green areas with grey surrounds.
  • red areas with black surrounds.
  • blue areas with grey surrounds.

Explanation from PART66Online

Weather radar colours intensity by return strength, with the heaviest precipitation of a severe storm shown in red; areas with no significant return appear black around it. Green denotes light returns, so green or blue cores would not represent the most severe cell.
