On a high winged aircraft, what effect will the fuselage have on the up-going wing?

When a high-wing aircraft is disturbed, fuselage interference alters the flow over the raised wing so its effective angle of attack and lift fall. The resulting lift imbalance produces a rolling moment that opposes the disturbance and rights the aircraft, which is why high-wing designs have inherent lateral stability.
