When storing wooden propellers

  • store in a dry well ventilated and illuminated location.
  • store in a horizontal position.
  • wrap in greaseproof paper.

Explanation from PART66Online

Wooden propellers are stored horizontally so moisture is not drawn down into one blade, which would cause uneven moisture content and imbalance. The store should be cool, dry, ventilated and dark rather than illuminated, since light and damp both harm the timber, and they are not simply wrapped in greaseproof paper.
