Module 17. Propeller

With a multi-engined aircraft the torque pressure would be

  • There is only one gauge for all engines.
  • same on all engines.
  • similar on all engines.

Explanation

Each engine has its own torquemeter, and with all engines set to the same power the torque pressures read the same, which is how a crew confirms balanced power across the engines. A single shared gauge is not used, and identical settings should give equal, not merely similar, readings.

Jordi asking:

what is the difference betweeen same and similar?

same: all engines have the exact same value,
similar can be a light difference between value
