If the TAS of an aircraft increases, the CSU will

  • increase the blade angle to provide constant RPM.
  • decrease the blade angle to provide constant RPM.
  • change the blade angle to provide constant RPM.

Explanation from PART66Online

As true airspeed rises, the reduced angle of attack on the blades unloads the propeller and tends to increase RPM. The CSU senses the overspeed tendency and coarsens the blades, increasing blade angle to restore the load and hold the selected constant RPM. Decreasing blade angle would worsen the overspeed.

Why?

I think that it may be because,in order to have a steady speed with the speed unit,you would have to increase the blade angle to match the increased TAS.
