Just convert binary values to decimal and add them.

Or you could add them as they are - in binary. The binary answer would be 110010 - which is 50 in decimal. Or since it's the same binary number added to itself, you could multiply by 2 - which gives 110010 also and then convert to decimal. Or you change 11001 to decimal (=25) and add it to itself - it's all the same - about 4 little variations on how to do it!

2^4+2^3+0^2+0^1+2^0 = 16+8+0+0+1 = 25
then after adding it to the same binary number you will get 50
