If part of a display is lost on a CRT, this could be due to
- an inoperative symbol generator or control panel.
- an inoperative symbol generator or input sensor.
- an inoperative EFIS control panel or data bus.
Explanation
A partial loss of a CRT display points to a failure either in the symbol generator that produces that part of the image or in the input sensor supplying the missing parameter, since both feed only the affected symbology. A complete loss of the whole display would instead implicate the EFIS control panel or the display unit itself.
manin asking:
inoperative input sensor would give flag but it can be considered as some sort of display but not missing as such and if the display has missing part, may be it's not selected in control pannel.correct me if i'm wrong.

I think that answer is logical. Location of problem is from symbol generator to input sensor. We can't deactivate part of CRT in control panel.
