ARINC 429 SDI word format is at bits

  • 1-32.
  • 1-10.
  • 9-10.

Explanation

In an ARINC 429 word the Source/Destination Identifier (SDI) occupies bits 9 and 10, used to identify the source or intended sink of the data. The label sits in bits 1 to 8 and the parity bit at bit 32. Only this two-bit field carries the SDI function.
