What this type rating covers

Differences focus

Chapters concentrate on what changed from the 737NG to the 737 MAX — efficient revision for a differences conversion.

LEAP-1B powerplant

The CFM LEAP-1B installation and its effects on the nacelle, pylon and indicating versus the NG CFM56-7B.

The Boeing 737 MAX (MAX 7/8/9/10) is a differences type for personnel already qualified on the 737NG. This question bank reflects that approach: each chapter concentrates on the differences from the NG to the MAX rather than re-teaching common systems, so conversion study time is focused where it matters.

Coverage includes the re-engining with the CFM LEAP-1B and its larger fan — the nacelle, pylon and engine-indicating changes that follow — along with the revised flight-control behaviour, the updated display system, the Advanced Technology winglets, the electrical and hydraulic changes and the other MAX-specific system updates. Chapters are organised by ATA so the material maps onto the differences-course structure and the maintenance documentation.

Use this for 737NG-to-MAX conversion training or recurrent checks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What format is the question bank in?
A single bookmarked PDF file. Open it on any device — computer, tablet or phone — with any PDF reader. It works completely offline.
Are the correct answers included?
Yes. Every question has its correct answer clearly marked, so you can study and self-test effectively.
How quickly will I receive the download link?
Immediately after payment is confirmed. The link is emailed to you and is valid for 12 hours. If you have any issues, contact us at info@part66online.com.
How is this different from the online Boeing 737NG to MAX Diff quizzes?
The PDF contains the same Boeing 737NG to MAX Diff questions as the online platform, in a convenient offline format you can study anywhere. The online subscription adds interactive per-chapter practice, progress tracking and weak-area review.
Can I print it?
Absolutely. The PDF is formatted for A4 with clean typography — print a single ATA chapter or the entire bank.
What is the 737NG to 737 MAX differences course?
It is the EASA Part-147 differences-training course that converts an engineer or pilot already type-rated on the 737NG onto the 737 MAX. Because the airframe is shared with significant system changes rather than a redesign, EASA recognises the MAX as a differences type on top of the NG rather than a brand-new type rating.
Do I need a 737NG type rating before the MAX?
Yes. The differences course assumes a current 737NG type rating. Without it the route is the full 737NG type-rating course first, then the NG-to-MAX differences. If you are not yet NG-rated, study the 737NG question bank first.
What is the LEAP-1B and how does it differ from the CFM56-7B?
The CFM LEAP-1B is the MAX-only engine — a higher-bypass, larger-fan-diameter design that delivers about 14% better fuel burn than the CFM56-7B on the NG. The larger fan required a longer nose landing gear, repositioned nacelles and a redesigned pylon; the engine indicating and FADEC behaviour also differs.
