A capacitor is a barrier to
- both.
- A.C.
- D.C.
Explanation
A capacitor blocks steady DC because, once charged, no current crosses its dielectric. It does, however, pass AC, as the continually reversing voltage keeps charging and discharging the plates. Hence it acts as a barrier to DC while allowing AC through.
