Explanation

The subtraction rule for logarithms states log A - log B = log(A/B). So log9 - log3 = log(9/3) = log3.

When multiple 'individual' log is add/subtract, they can be convert into single log with multiplication/division.
Above example:

Log 9 - Log 3 (2 individual log)
Convert: Log (9 / 3) [minus->divide, plus->multiply]
= Log (3)
